Rumble in the Bullring

Eagle Raceway provided plenty of rumble Friday night as the USAC Sprints invaded the legendary circuit. Interestingly enough, it was the IMCA Racesaver sprints that provided the nights most excitement. Joey Danley traded spots with Jason Martin in a heated battle that ensued to the last lap. Danley would emerge the victor followed by Martin and Toby Chapman giving EAGLE a sweep of the podium.

Steve Poirier’s truck was pointed at Oshweken Speedway for some tune-up prior to the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals. It seems almost unfair as Steve’s new EAGLE soared in the slick, from the sixth starting position, to capture his fourth consecutive win the new car. His momentum looks to propel him to his fourth Canadian Nationals win.

Mark Dobmeier wins twice in a double feature night at River Cities Speedway. On fan appreciation night the familiar #13 gave onlookers exactly what they wanted to see. After winning the first feature, Mark took his Grinch Racing EAGLE to the back of the pack for a full invert and drove through the field to clinch a second victory and sweep the evenings feature events.

Jack Dover powered to a victory for the third straight weekend last Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway. The victory was Dover's second straight with the series and it extends his lead in the championship standings to 42 points.

Alysha Ruggles crossed the street to Canandaigua Speedway and then crossed the finish line first. For anyone who knows Canandaigua, they know the name Ruggles. Alysha steered her EAGLE, tuned by father Daryl, to a win.

Indiana, Wisconsin, and New York…All sites of HENCHCRAFT victories. The 2016 HENCHCRAFT has proven to be the most consistent and responsive chassis in Lightning Sprint racing. Proving this was Nick Petska at Beaver Dam Raceway. With the World of Outlaws present, the Wisconsin Illinois Mini Sprints put on a show lead by Petska. Nick started the evening with earning his third quick qualifier award of the season then went on to win the feature which added to his points lead.

A full field of Lightning Sprints presented themselves to Brownstown Speedway. Rod Henning in the Dorsett team HENCHCRAFT once again bested the field.

Lou Torres, in his sophomore season, has now found victory lane twice this season with the latest at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park.

Jake Galusha led the STALLARD effort this weekend driving his SST to a win at Jefferson County Speedway.
